This is just to list the edits made to Nadesico for it's airing on Cartoon Network's Toonami block for Monday, Feburary 24th, 2003.
If anyone is wondering how I made this list, I have a TiVo that I recorded Nadesico with and I have the DVD set of Nadesico. The TiVo is hooked up to my CRT TV and I have a 15 Inch LCD flatscreen DVD Player to the right of my bed that I play the DVD on. I have them both playing together, in sync. When the audio falls out of sync I stop the playback of both, reverse and write down the changes.

This is why I have three shelves of Anime DVDs and refuse to watch toonami. Dubs do enough damage without the extra censorship. *Remembers the number of changes made to Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki when it aired on toonami and sighs* I can't help but think that at least 1 entire ep will be removed from Nadesico and at least 5 from Eva.
Posted by: VGZ on February 25, 2003 10:10 AMremember how cheesy and generic the genre is in the first place folks... its not like we're seeing workd of literature chopped by censors... the plots in this crap read more or less like a primitive nintendo game (i.e. get to last level, get powerups, beat big bad guy)... the character archetypes are interchangeable between ANY anime... (lets see, was that Minmei or Fijuko or just th lil blond from vhunterd with a dyejob i cant tell) and even th music is a poorly disguised ripoff of western popculture ('big-o' is an obvious take on the flash gordon theme) oh but wait.. . there is origionality in this genre! some groups turn into giant robots... some into giant robots made out of cars... some turn into giant robots made out of ninjas and some turn into giant robots made out of lions.
Posted by: jme on January 12, 2004 10:03 PMI hear that "VGZ" I haven't watched Toonami's anime since they took off Voltron and had Sailor Moon still running. I have an 8 level bookshelf full of all kinds of anime dvds and my fansubbed tapes of yester-year, and I laugh when my friend tells me what was going on in Dragon Ball GT (Like I care, its Dragon BALL!) I didn't even know they put nadesico on Toonami last year! I didn't miss much apparently, I got the DVD's. I even heard they're playing Rurouni Kenshin FINALLY but I don't watch it on Tv hehehe. Anime DVDs rule.
